Through the hardest chapters of my life, it was the people who believed in me and what I was capable of that helped me find my way.
Leaving behind the life I knew was terrifying. After my separation, I walked away from the house I paid for, the stability I worked so hard to build, and faced the reality of starting over from scratch. All I took with me were my three cats, who always seemed to sense the chaos I was living in and tried to be there for me.
This wasn’t my first time starting over. During 2008, the job market took a major hit, and my plans to work in marketing research with my mom quickly fell through as companies made cuts. My mom suggested I try car sales instead. Initially, I laughed and asked, “Do you not like me?” But she insisted my genuine approach would work, and she was right. I quickly became a top performer at Nissan and eventually moved into management. I loved helping people find the right car by listening and being honest. However, after several years of 12-hour days, six days a week, I was burnt out. After my marriage ended, I was ready for something new.
Starting a new chapter, I met Matt through the Z Club. Cars have always been my passion, and that shared interest is what first brought us together. After dating for a while, he suggested I move to Orlando for a fresh start. I had lived in Tampa my entire life, so I would be leaving all my friends and family, but I knew I needed a change. So, I took the leap! I joined another Nissan dealership there, repeated my success, and climbed into management again. But the cycle returned: success, burnout, and the nagging feeling that this still wasn’t where I was meant to be.
Friends kept telling me I’d be great in real estate. But it took three people I deeply respected telling me the same thing for me to finally go and see what this real estate thing was all about. I passed the state exam on my first attempt! It felt like I was on the right path.
I was full of excitement and anticipation, but the first year was a lot harder than I expected. I went from earning great money in car sales to having to sell my motorcycle to get by. For the first time in my adult life, I had to rely on others. If it weren’t for my mom and Matt, I don’t know how I would have made it through.
What helped me most was getting involved. The very club where I met Matt and so many friends—the Z Club—became more than a hobby. It was a community where I built relationships, and many of those connections later turned into clients wanting the help of someone they trusted to buy a home. Slowly, things improved. Last year, despite being one of the hardest years for real estate nationwide, it was my best yet.
I was once told, “Nice people never get anywhere.” Those words stuck with me for years. But it wasn’t true. I’d proven it. You can be kind, lead with integrity, and still be successful.
My three cats were there for so much of this pivotal time in my life. Each one passed at a major milestone: after I met Matt, when we bought our home, and after he proposed. They stayed with me until they knew I was safe and loved. Now, Matt and I have Vino, our 3 year old rescue cat.
I’m so proud of how far I have come. I’m married to my best friend. We run the Central Florida Z Club. together and spend weekends at meets, cruising back roads, or exploring Florida’s hidden gems like Mount Dora and Sanford, supporting small businesses and soaking in the charm of local spots.
Real estate isn’t about transactions to me; it’s about guiding people through some of life’s biggest transitions. My background taught me that success comes when you truly put people first. Clients sense when you genuinely have their best interests at heart—and that’s how I work every single day. I bring empathy, balanced with the ability to stay objective so my clients feel supported without added stress.
Education is a huge part of my approach. I study the market on a granular level so I can guide clients with confidence, whether it’s how to craft a strong offer or price a home strategically. I don’t just say the market is “hard”—I break down what’s happening locally, from absorption rates to buyer leverage, so they feel informed and empowered.
I’m also certified to assist veterans and families navigating probate sales that require not just expertise but compassion. Whether I’m helping first-time buyers, downsizing seniors, or families coping with loss, my goal is always the same: to make a challenging process as smooth and positive as possible.
Sincerely,
